Teach me to stay

I love waking up next to you in the morning. The way you smell, and the warmth of your body next to mine. If only this feeling could last all day, we are equal, and unified for this moment. I know you will soon wake. You will rush me out the door and wait with me, anxiously. I can feel your urgency, and finally relief as you lean down to stroke my hair. You reassure me that I did a good job this morning, and we can go back in the house together, now that I have taken a dump on the lawn.
